For generations, gold vermeil jewelry was renowned for its use of real gold combined with an artisan's skill and craftsmanship. Introducing a new standard of what vermeil is. Carefully crafted by hand from extra thin 14K to 18K gold over sterling silver, this vermeil collection features gold inlaid with the purest 925 sterling silver retaining the 2.5 micron thickness standard for vermeil. We have taken careful steps to ensure that this collection maintains all the benefits of vermeil without any of the possible drawbacks--no nickel, no irritants, no tarnishing.

Not to be confused with gold-plating where the base of your jewelry can be mixed metals, gold vermeil contains only two precious metals: gold and silver.

The base of any gold vermeil piece is sterling silver, which is 92.5% silver. A layer of gold is then electroplated to the sterling silver. To be determined gold vermeil, it's layer has to be at least 2.5 microns thick. This is what gives a gold vermeil piece the same appearance of a solid gold piece without the same price point.

You will find all our jewelry marked with 925 certifying a 92.5% silver content. Silver is easily one of the most popular precious metals used in jewelry, with it's hypoallergenic properties, sterling is frequently chosen by sensitive skin wearers, as well as those with metal allergies such as copper and brass.
